This is where Introduction to Houdini FX comes in. We will build upon your fundamental Houdini skills to become an unstoppable force of nature!

The Rebelway online school released the updated workshop to Houdini 18 for FX artists. The workshop includes an entirely new project with building destruction and a lot of particle-based, smoke, pyro and rbd FX. The new content aims to show students how new features of the tool can be used for the production of FX projects.

This course will work well for those who have some experience in CG and are interested to dive into Houdini and to learn what it’s capable of. In the previous version of the workshop, students learned how to create various effects such as particle creation, smoke effect, volume, and shading. 

The new version also includes topics regarding Houdini 18, new visual effects, and techniques, for example, simulation and building destruction setup, rendering and compositing workflow.

The workshop takes 10 weeks to complete. As mentors say, by week 8, the student should get a deep understanding of how Houdini works and be able to create and render particles FX, water simulation, and destruction.

There are flexible payment plans. You can pay only half of the price now, and the second payment is due in the mid of February 2020. If you have already taken the workshop, then you get a nice discount for the updated version. You can also choose if you want to get the videos and content update only, or you can take the whole workshop again and get all the materials and feedback, too.
